Originally thought to be developed by Kings, the introduction of black tea by the British into India in the 1830s kicked off this humble beverage's revolution to shape it into the foodie favourite it is today.
Perfect For: Perfect not only for blending with your favourite black tea, Masala Chai Blend is a great flavour base for cakes or cookies, or add sugar & sprinkle over fresh churros. Feel like a summer beverage? Brew, chill & serve over a scoop of ice-cream & top with whipped cream & a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Contains: Masala Chai is a rich, well balanced blend of Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamom, Cassia, Nutmeg, Anise, and Pepper.
Cooking Directions (Serves 4):
1. Place 1 teaspoon Masala Chai Blend into a saucepan with 1 cup of water. Bring to the boil, 2. Add 2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea.
3. Cover and rest for 5 to 10 minutes (to your preferred strength).
4. Place back on the stove, add 1 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of evaporated milk and bring back to the boil.
5. Sweeten to taste and serve with a sprinkle of Cinnamon.
