Apple Masala Chai Cake Loaf

WE'VE USED A THERMOMIXTM FOR THIS RECIPE

Our Masala Chai has taken this beautiful favourite Apple Cake Loaf to a whole new and unique level. With the perfect balance of sweet and spice, with a bit of fruit to lift your daily intake, it will definitely impress the masses.


Ingredients

2 Apples
2 Tsp P2P Masala Chai
125g Butter
225g Self raising flour
1 tsp Vanilla extract
2 Eggs
165g Caster sugar
130g Milk


Method

  1. Pre heat oven 180°
  2. Line a loaf tin
  3. Peel apples and cut into small cubes (approx. 1cm)
  4. Place apples into a bowl and add the Masala Chai
  5. Stir to coat apples well
  6. In your ThermomixTM, add to the bowl flour, sugar, butter, vanilla, eggs and milk
  7. Mix for 15 seconds, speed 5
  8. Scrape down sides
  9. Mix for 10 seconds, speed 4
  10. Add apples and stir to combine by hand
  11. Pour mixture into prepared loaf tin
  12. Bake for 50-55mins

Allow to cool in tin for 5mins before moving to a cooking rack
