ITALIAN HERB BOCCONCINI

There’s just something about herbs and cheese that just ‘works’, and this amazing Italian Herb Bocconcini recipe is no different. Made with our famous Italian Herbs blend, this one will fast become a go-to when entertaining or kicking back with a glass of Pinot.


Ingredients

1 cup Plain Flour
3 Eggs
Milk (for whisking with the eggs)
2 Cups Breadcrumbs
2 ½ Tbs Italian Herbs
1 tub Bocconcini (220g)


Method

1. Drain bocconcini and dry well using paper towel
2. Set up 3 bowls as follows;
Flour
Eggs (whisked with a little milk)
Breadcrumbs mixed with the Italian herbs
3. Take the bocconcini coating them as follows:
Flour
Egg
Breadcrumbs
Egg
Breadcrumbs
4. Place coated bocconcini onto a plate or baking tray
5. Once you’ve coated all the bocconcini place into a freezer on the tray / plate for 20-30mins
6. Fry bocconcini
Air fryer – 200° 10mins
Shallow fry or deep fry depending on your preference until crumbs are crispy
